Should I talk about getting a mammogram?
This path is for people without symptoms. “Early detection” means looking for changes before symptoms appear. If you notice a lump or new change, use the second path.
Why is there no percentage?
Percentage-based models require more information, have limits and should not be the only basis for deciding on a test. This tool only guides the next conversation.
I have a breast lump or nodule
A lump can have many causes. The safe way to understand it is to combine the history, examination and imaging appropriate for each situation.
What does BI-RADS mean?
It is a category in a breast imaging report. It is not a diagnosis by itself. If the report says BI-RADS 3, 4, 5 or 6, follow the written recommendation and ask the medical team if anything is unclear.
